The Monotype Guild of New England
invites members in good standing
to submit two monotypes or monoprints
for an exhibition at Newbury Court
This exhibit is NOT JURIED.
Every entering member artist will have 
at least
one print hung, depending on the final numbers.
There will be a total of 60 prints in the show.


 

Newbury Court is a premier, not-for-profit community in Concord, Massachusetts. This pristine 35-acre campus overlooks the Sudbury River which offers outstanding views from its art classrooms to those who participate in the offered workshops that support and promote the arts. There are large north and south galleries for art exhibition, classrooms for art education and live music performances. The gallery presents five to six exhibitions per year, featuring groups such as New England Sculptors Association, Cambridge Art Association and well-known individual artists from New England. The galleries are open Monday through Sunday from 9am – 5pm.

 


ELIGIBILITY:
Your Monotype Guild membership must be up-to-date to participate. All prints must be either monotypes or monoprints. For detailed descriptions of those terms, please follow this link to our website: http://mgne.org/monotypedefined/  
Submitted work cannot have been shown at an earlier MGNE exhibit. There will be a $20 fee to participate. MGNE is open to artists working in the medium of one-of-a-kind prints. To join MGNE, follow this link: https://mgne.org/membership/
 
REQUIREMENTS:  
Work should be framed and ready to hang with a wire. Clip-on frames, saw-tooth and keyhole hangers will NOT be accepted. There is a size limit of 38" x 38" framed. The gallery cannot accommodate three-dimensional pieces. Please contact exhibitions@mgne.org for more information. The gallery director reserves the right to refuse installation of any work that is not appropriate for a professional exhibition at the Newbury Court Gallery or does not meet the stated guidelines.
 
ENTRY PROCESS:
Easy on-line registration is through ArtCall at this address: https://mgnenewburycourt.artcall.org/
We will begin accepting entries on April 9, 2023 and will close submissions upon receiving 60 entries or May 9, 2023 whichever comes first. Your email from ArtCall that your submission has gone through is an indication that your work is in the show and is expected at drop off. ArtCall enables changes to your submissions until we close. Only JPEG files will be accepted. JPEGs should be sized at 1920 pixels on the longest side with a dpi of 300.
 
INSURANCE:            
MGNE volunteers and the Newbury Court Gallery staff will handle your work with the care and respect that they accord their own work. Newbury Court and MGNE do not carry insurance for the period of time your work is at the center. 
 
SALES:   
Newbury Court does not expedite sales of your work. A gallery sheet will be available at the show and if an interested party inquires, they will contact the artist directly. No commissions will be taken by the gallery.
 
DELIVERY:  
Drop-off dates are: Sunday June 4, 1pm – 4pm and Monday June 5, 10am – 4pm
Pick-up dates are: Sunday August 20, 1pm – 4pm and Monday August 21, 10am – 4pm 

Shipped work will be accepted. Upon acceptance of your entry, instructions will be sent via email. Either UPS or FedEx may be used to ship work. Work must be delivered by June 5 to be in the exhibition.

Please label all artwork with your name and title of the piece. You must attach the check-in label that you will print during the ArtCall submission.
