Statement
For years I have observed ice along several tributaries and tidal creeks of the Piscataqua, always fascinated by the changes from mid to late winter. Sometimes when the ice is thick there are depths of bubbles. Later cracks appear and with each change in the tide, smaller and then larger fractures show up. Ultimately triangular and rhomboid fragments appear and float down river. . These two prints are part of a larger series of monotypes based on river ice.
